Rules and Tabs

Does anyone know off hand if tabs are required in the spam black lists
rules? I have been reviewing the documentation and it does not specifically
state if this is required or not for these types of rules.

Ex:

From: bob at hi.com and To: domain.com yes

or:

From: <tab> bob at hi.com <tab> and To: <tab> domain.com <tab> yes

I believe they were once required but are now optional.

That being said, they make the file more easily readable.
