MailScanner with sendmail configured to use a smart host

Hello there,

I'm using sendmail as the MTA on my mail server. I have installed MailScanner with SpamAssassin and everything is working well.?

Now, I'd like to configure my MTA to send mail to a smart host, I know this can be done by adding the following to sendmail.mc:
define(`SMART_HOST', `smtp.your.provider')dnl


But I have one question: Would that affect the work of MailScanner?
