Historically, the Debian package has always lagged way behind, as Julian didn't maintain it - someone else did, as their time permitted. Is it safe to assume that it will now be updated along with the other packages? That would be great, as we pretty much use Debian but have used other distros (SUSE & centOS) where it was more practical.

I built the repo on github so anyone can do it. so, yes it will be maintained.

Great. Does the installer deal with dependencies and such (i.e., a .deb package) or is it just the MailScanner essentials and and install script?
